About the Rosario Islands

Located 100 kilometers (62 miles) off the coast of Cartagena are a collection of Caribbean islands named the Rosario Islands. These islands are protected and considered to be a Colombian National Park, in order to protect the coral reefs and ecosystems: the park contains over 120, 000 squared kilometres (46,332 square miles) of marine area and land. While many of the islands are uninhabited, a small number of the islands are privately owned by hotels who offer accommodation or day trip packages to the islands. There are plenty of snorkeling, diving, relaxing, and swimming opportunities in the crystal clear waters, as well as a natural aquarium that you can explore.

Welcome Party & Catamaran Tour

We are kicking the wedding weekend off with a welcome party on a catamaran! The catamaran will take us around the the Rosario Islands, stopping periodically to allow for snorkeling and swimming. Lunch and drinks will be served on board and snorkeling gear will be provided! Boarding will begin at 9:30am at Muelle de la Bodeguita. Taxis and Ubers are safe and readily available to take you from your hotel to the boarding location.

Sobre las Islas del Rosario

Ubicadas a 100 kilómetros de la costa de Cartagena se encuentran un grupo de islas caribeñas conocidas como las Islas del Rosario. Estas islas están protegidas y son consideradas Parque Nacional de Colombia, con el objetivo de preservar los arrecifes de coral y los ecosistemas. El parque abarca más de 120.000 kilómetros cuadrados de área marina y terrestre. Si bien muchas de las islas están deshabitadas, algunas de ellas son propiedad privada de hoteles que ofrecen alojamiento o paquetes de excursiones de un día a las islas. Hay muchas oportunidades para practicar snorkel, buceo, relajarse y nadar en las aguas cristalinas, así como para explorar un acuario natural.

Fiesta de Bienvenida y Tour en Catamarán

¡Comenzaremos el fin de semana de bodas con una fiesta de bienvenida en un catamarán! El catamarán nos llevará alrededor de las Islas del Rosario, haciendo paradas periódicas para practicar snorkel y nadar. Se servirá almuerzo y bebidas a bordo, y se proporcionará equipo de snorkel. El embarque comenzará a las 9:30 a.m. en el Muelle de la Bodeguita. Los taxis y Ubers son seguros y están fácilmente disponibles para llevarlos desde su hotel hasta el lugar de embarque.
